New York has already answered that 27,174,101 times — it just never publishes the answer broken down by what your ticket actually says. We did. The rate runs from 4.3% on one charge to 89.8% on another (NYC Open Data, “Open Parking and Camera Violations”, computed 2026-08-31).
Put the plate in the box above. You get every open ticket on it from the city's live records — what is owed on each, how many days before it hardens into a judgment, and, on each individual ticket, how often New York dismisses that exact charge at a hearing. Free, and we never write the plate down.
You will leave knowing the city's own dismissal rate for your exact charge, what it accepts as a defense for that charge, and the date it stops being your choice.

The city republishes its open violations file daily, and a ticket written in the last few days can take a little while to reach it, so an empty result on a very recent ticket is not proof that there is none.

A parking ticket is a charge against the registered owner rather than a moving violation against a driver, so it puts no points on a driving record; left unanswered it becomes a judgment debt against the owner instead, which is the thing that leads to booting and towing.
